Les Rendez-vous d’Anna
post picture

One of the most important films of the 70’s, Chantal Akerman’s “laying bare of grim reality”. A woman filmmaker floats around Europe while having encounters with several people, both strangers and intimate relations, that reveal her as a catalyst for commitment. Aurore Clement plays Anna in this minimalist experiment that is perhaps the most accessible of Akerman’s films, which evokes human needs, fears and subtleties by concentrating on the spaces in between conversation. With Lea Massari, Helmut Griem, Jean-Pierre Cassel.
